It's Fiesta Time At Dolphins

It's time to dust off your sombreros for a Mexican-themed celebration at the Redcliffe Leagues Club� this May.

Daniel Kelly from the leagues club said the whole family was invited to a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for a night of Mexican fun.

Cinco de Mayo is a popular commemorative day in parts of the United States, celebrating Mexican culture and heritage. Historically it marks the date of the Mexican Army's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla on 5 May 1862.

Peninsula locals will get a chance to get into the spirit of this celebration with a range of Mexican food, entertainment and other activities on offer. Family-friendly fun includes face painting and balloon animals.

In the restaurant we will have Mexican food specials and kids eat for free when with paying adults,� Daniel said.

In the main bar area there will be a pop-up food bar where you can design your own nachos, burritos and tacos. There will also prizes awarded for the best Mexican-inspired outfits.

Staff will dress up and we fully encourage customers to wear their best Mexican costumes for a chance to win prizes.�

Daniel said world-class party band, Dirty Sanchez, would entertain the crowd from 9pm, following a DJ from 8pm to 9pm.

Dirty Sanchez is a collaboration of a bunch of talented Brisbane musicians who are coming together just for this event. They will bring a real party atmosphere to the night with Latin American inspired rock and roll and lots of fun.�

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure a table if they wish to see the band, which will play all the favourite Latin-American hit songs.

Finally, no fiesta would be complete without� the margaritas and tequila specials that will be available on the night.
