Dance Your Way Through Life Cuban Style

Israel, who is a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer, regularly teaches Cuban dance in Brisbane, runs workshops and performs in events throughout Australia and New Zealand.

He said he was driven to share the passion, energy, and creativity that defines Cuban dance and music� through classes such as the ones he holds in Redcliffe on Monday nights.

Currently we have around 20 people (at the Redcliffe classes) with the age range between 18 and 50+,� Israel said.

Classes are open to anyone of any fitness level and dancing experience.

You don't need to bring a partner or have any experience, just come along on the night and we will take care of the rest.

You have the opportunity to learn how to dance some of the most exciting styles of dance, as well as improve your well-being, coordination, and overall fitness ' all while having fun.�

It would be hard to find any other Cuban dance classes more authentic than those at Israel's Cuban Dance Company.

Born in Santiago de Cuba, Israel went to a specialised dance school at the age of 11 and went on to graduate from the National School of Art in Havana, Cuba.

Upon graduating, he worked for two different modern dance companies in Cuba before winning a position in the dance spectacular 'Havana Night'.

Israel travelled the world with Havana Night, performing throughout Asia and Europe, before settling in Australia in 2003. He started the Cuban Dance Company soon after to promote Cuban culture and dance in Australia.
