Nestled on the picturesque Scarborough waterfront is the Waters Edge Scarborough facility one of the Peninsula's most picturesque function venues.
After extensive renovations, the venue has re-opened its doors wide to the general public. The venue is offering everyone the chance to experience their new Sunday live music sessions, held on the second and fourth Sunday of each month, as well as being able to sample their food and drinks menu.
Owner Jamie Larson says the new dining experience will offer patrons a chance to see the beauty of the venue for themselves.
The view is priceless both by day and night, he says.
There are elevated, absolute waterfront views of the Scarborough Marina, the Glass House Mountains and beyond.
Jamie says the combination of a simple menu, great entertainment and an unbeatable location is a winner with guests.
Patrons can order from our simple Sunday finger food menu and order a bevvie or two from the indoor/outdoor bar, before settling in with some fabulous live music while the sun sets in the evening, he says.
Seafood is my pick for the perfect afternoon indulgence at the venue ' nothing beats fresh prawns straight off the trawler, and combined with a cold beer and stunning views, it's nothing short of perfection.
Jamie says the Sunday sessions have been a hit with locals and visitors, and the feedback has been very encouraging. Last Sunday was the biggest day we have had to date - the crowd loved the venue and the atmosphere, he says.
Those that have been here previously were amazed at the changes we have made with the recent renovations and they love having another venue to dine in.
Jamie says in addition to being a great spot for a Sunday 'sesh', Waters Edge is also a spectacular function space. Waters Edge was a purpose-built events centre and most locals have experienced at least one event when it was known as Sunset Blue, he says. With its fresh new renovation, we want everyone to know we are open and they are welcome back.
Jamie finishes by saying, We are hoping our new Sunday dining will give patrons a chance to see the venue and potentially to book their next wedding, celebration or corporate event.
