Markets Find New Home

Market lovers rejoice! Local artisan markets, Handmade Redcliffe, will relaunch in a new seaside location on Saturday 21st July from 8am to 1pm.
Founder and market curator Janmaree Lowe created the boutique Handmade Redcliffe markets in 2013 to provide a showcase of local makers' goods.
[Handmade Redcliffe is] curated to showcase the finest locally made goods in a welcoming environment,ť Janmaree said.
Rather than needing to travel all the way into town to find an audience, Handmade Redcliffe provides an opportunity to pop up shop locally with like-minded makers.ť
Having outgrown its previous space, the Handmade Redcliffe markets have now found a new home on the oval behind Humpybong State School.
Janmaree is excited to have a new blank canvas to transform into a sea of handmade stalls and fun.
Humpybong State School approved Handmade Redcliffe to operate on the grounds. We will be located on the oval and showcased prominently.
The location has one of the best outlooks across Margate Beach - you really can't beat that!ť Janmaree said.
A wide variety of handmade and locally designed products will be available to explore from art, jewellery and homewares to plants, stationery and food.
In addition to 40 handmade maker's stalls, there will also be three breakfast food trucks, as well as creative demonstrations hosted by makers throughout the morning.
The Humpybong State School P&C will also be holding their inaugural bake sale, and the shared community playground will be open to help entertain the little ones.
Janmaree's advice for locals attending the markets is simple.
Get involved in the local maker movement stay for breakfast, meet local creatives and be inspired!ť Janmaree said.
It is a really beautiful experience to meander Handmade Redcliffe, coffee in hand, soaking up the ambient environment by the seaside.
