Fast Fives Carnival
The Redcliffe Leagues Netball Association (RLNA) is home to Redcliffe's most talented, dedicated and passionate netball players, bound for success and glory.

In 2018, the RLNA has six teams representing Redcliffe in the Netball Queensland State Age Championships, from under 12's to under 16's.

As well as two teams representing Redcliffe in the Queensland Premier League Competition, Under 16's and Open Ladies teams.

Each year, the RLNA representative teams look for new and innovative ways to fundraise and support the costs associated with participating in competitions all over South East Queensland.

This year, the main fundraising event will be hosting a Fast Fives Carnival on Saturday 26th May from 5-8pm.

We would like to invite and encourage all members of the community to come and get involved, says Kylie Gilvear. Kylie is a volunteer and proud parent of three daughters playing in representative teams.

Kylie explains the conditions to be a part of Fast Fives, Players must be aged over 14 years and may register as an individual (we will help to find you a team) or you can register as a team. With the focus on fun, there will be prizes for best dressed and some great ideas to get the party started on the night.

We asked Kylie what the difference was between traditional Netball and this tournament. She explained, Fast Fives is a modified version of the traditional netball game where there is a different court marking, there are opportunities to make two or three-point shots and unlimited interchange. It is fast, it is furious and most of all, it is fun.

Players wanting to secure a spot must do so before 23rd May by emailing u16QPL@gmail.com.

Head down to KR Benson Park for all the action, located at 124 Maine Rd, Clontarf, Saturday 26 May, 5-8pm.
