Moreton Bay Caravan, Camping, Boating & 4x4 Expo

If you love the outdoors, you won't want to miss the Moreton Bay Caravan, Camping, Boating and 4x4 Expo on February 16 to 18.
Returning to the Peninsula for the fourth year, the Moreton Bay Caravan, Camping, Boating & 4x4 Expo will fill the Redcliffe Showgrounds with more than 200 displays of the very latest in caravans, camper trailers, boating, fishing and all things leisure.
Organiser Bob Carroll says the expo has seen an increase in exhibitor bookings this year, making it one of the biggest events in Queensland.
This increase is driven by the boom in the traditional family camping holiday, with people on the lookout for the ideal, caravan, camper trailer, boat or four-wheel-drive for their outdoor adventures.
It is all about families, and families are looking for ways to get their kids to disconnect from technology and get active," Bob says.
"These sorts of holidays do that brilliantly, but they are also very affordable and let's face it, all kids, and lots of adults, love getting out and enjoying the great outdoors."
Last year's expo saw more than 18,000 people come through the gates, and this year promises to be bigger and better, Bob says.
"People will be spoilt for choice with more than 80 major leisure vehicle manufacturers showcasing the very latest offerings."
Other highlights include the Peninsula 4×4 and Outdoor 4×4 Off-road Skills Track shows daily, camp oven cooking demonstrations by Ranger Nick, hourly reptile shows, and free kids train and amusement rides.
Fishing enthusiast Dave 'Mossy' Moss is returning for his fishing and casting demonstrations throughout the day.
Entry costs $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and children under 16 are free with a paying adult. Free return passes are also available.
The major door prize will be a $10,000 boating package presented by local boating specialists, Cunningham Marine.
The expo runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 9am-4pm at the Redcliffe Showgrounds.
