CITY OF MORETON BAY ANNOUNCES SUPPORT OF WILDLIFE RESCUE QUEENSLAND
Last year, City of Moreton Bay unanimously pledged support to Wildlife Rescue Queensland, by assisting with their operational expenses. Council’s financial support has led to Wildlife Rescue Queensland formalising a 3-year strategic plan, developing a custom hotline app, and refining its 24/7 processes. They have also launched their first wildlife ambulance with dedicated crews, increased transport runs to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, expanded the Snake Rescue Team, and enhanced bird rescue capabilities. They have also established a tree climbing team, conducted extensive training, and seen a 25% growth in membership. In addition, they have seen an increase in community recognition on social media, obtained a new Wildlife Group Permit, and actively participated in community events and awareness programs.

To report sick or injured wildlife, contact the hotline at 0478 901 801.
