Get Your Groove On At Music In The Park
Deception Bay will come alive to the sounds of music, fun and joy at the upcoming free Music in the Park event.

Rally your family and friends, pack some snacks or enjoy delicious treats from the food trucks, and relax or dance your butt off! Music in the Park is proudly presented by City of Moreton Bay in partnership with Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT).

MBRIT CEO Natassia Wheeler said the event celebrated local talent and provided a platform for artists to showcase their skills.

“We are dedicated to supporting local artists, entertainers, and vendors, and Music in the Park is just one example of the vibrant events we bring to the community,” Natassia said. “We invite everyone to join us for this free, family-friendly event and experience the talent and creativity of our region.

“We hope attendees of all ages will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of music, food, and entertainment while supporting our community. Remember to bring your picnic blanket, dancing shoes, and a sense of community spirit!”

There is something for everyone, with face-painting for the kids, tempting cuisine and a variety of musical entertainment.

The program features Tayiha – a talented Deception Bay local, Hayden Hack – an award-winning singer playing afro-inspired music, and funky R&B/neo-soul singers and musicians – The Harlem Trio.

Tayiha was a finalist in the Queensland Music Awards in 2021 for her song, No Happy Ending, which she wrote and recorded at the tender age of 14. Her music video, Not Feeling This can be seen on MTV. Tayiha plays piano and guitar and her sound has been likened to Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Ariana Grande.

South African-born songwriter and musician Hayden Hack takes the listener on a journey with his multi-layered live loops and psychedelic guitar solos. Something transcendent to sit back and chill to while enjoying the autumn weather.

Put this event on your calendar now and make a family day of it.
