All the Fun of the Fair
There is a buzz in the air. You can feel the excitement rise when you spot the huge Ferris wheel from afar. As you approach, bright lights and upbeat music welcome you and your family. There is nothing like a fair to make the faces of the young, and the young at heart, light up with wonder.

For two weeks around Christmas, the Queensland State Fair will illuminate the shores of Moreton Bay. A beloved holiday tradition for many families, the sights, sounds, and smells bring back fond childhood memories for some and create new memories for others.

Taylor Brookes, administrator at Royal Seating Hire Pty Ltd which brings the Queensland State Fair to the Peninsula, said the fair was a great family event and a lot of fun for people of all ages.

With the Ekka having been cancelled this year, this is a great place to get your fix of the excitement, food and fun of a show,Taylor said.

There will be a lot of show food including dagwood dogs, hot chips, fairy floss, slushies, potato twists, waffles, hot dogs and more. There is fun for everyone with sideshow games and rides for all ages. Bounce high on the Bungee Trampolines, choose your favourite colour Dodgem Car, brave the scary Ghost Train or thrill to the fast action of the Sound Wave, Ranger and more. There is also Waterball and rides for kiddies.

Rides cost between $6 and $10, and most have multiple purchase deals.

You can also test your skill and luck in Sideshow Alley with games like Gone Fishin', Bust a Balloon, Shoot the Zombies and Lucky Envelopes. Win a stuffed animal or maybe take home a top shelf prize.

Don't forget the showbags! There is a huge range including Bertie Beetle, Warheads, Princess, Hello Kitty, Rick and Morty, Doctor Who, Where's Wally and other favourites.

At only $2 entry, the State Fair provides affordable entertainment.

Don't miss out on this holiday fun for the entire family.
