It’s Show Time
The 72nd annual Redcliffe Show is back for 2021 and is set to impress with new entertainment and a revamped program.

The leadership of the much-loved local event has had huge changes with a new president, vice-president, and secretary – bringing fresh new ideas to the show.

The Redcliffe Show secretary Vanessa McIntyre said she was excited about the reinvigoration of this year’s show and welcomes the community to see the spectacular entertainment on offer.

“For the first time we have a dinosaur park for the kids – the dinosaurs will be roaming and set to excite all the ages,” Vanessa said. “We have a man being shot out of a cannon, a high wire act, a reptile park, and a brand new animal nursery.”

Between 12pm and 4pm Sunday afternoon, the Kgari Kelpie stud dog high jump will be held, and visitors are welcome to bring their pups to have a go.

“Our other entertainment is going to be the wheel of death,” Vanessa said. “And we’ve got a high wire motocross and the Aussie FMX stunt bikes that are coming as well.”

The main feature is the fireworks on both Friday and Saturday evenings, with bags of lollies being thrown out to the kids.

All the entertainment and events Redcliffe Show is known for will still be happening, but Vanessa advises everyone to check out the new website for program details as there have been changes to scheduling and days.

The horse jumping, cattle and poultry judging, woodchopping, dog show, and Professor Wallace puppet show are all popular events that are back for 2021.

“Other changes for this year is that our poultry is only on Saturday,” Vanessa said. “Our pig races will also be at a different time – 12pm-4pm on Friday – they have always been very well supported and attended.

“We are here because we have a passion for the Redcliffe Show, and being involved and providing back to the community.”
