Broncos Take On The Premiers At Dolphins

The only bad thing about summer is the lack of Rugby League matches.

The three months between seasons can be brutal. With the new season almost upon us, it's time to get excited about the year ahead and how far your team can go.

Round 1 of the 2017 NRL season kicks off with the reigning premiers, the Cronulla Sharks playing the Brisbane Broncos at their home ground Shark Park in Sydney.

On the back of their very first grand final victory, the Sharks will have to bring their A-game to fend off a strong Broncos side with a hunger to win.

On Saturday 4th February, Redcliffe locals will be treated to a prelude at the trial game that will see the Broncos and Sharks go head-to-head in our own backyard at the newly renovated Dolphin Stadium.

The trial matches are always important as it gives the coach his first look at the players for 2017. With this game against the Sharks the only trial match in Australia before the team heads to play a trial against Warrington in England, the Broncos will field a strong team�, explains Trad McLean, Corporate Affairs Manager at the Broncos.

This match will be the only chance to watch our top players run onto the field in Queensland in February. Redcliffe and the Broncos have a long association, and all the players are keen to play at the new stadium.�
