Address : Strathpine
It’s time for kids and families to prepare themselves for a day of fun, excitement, and adventure. Moreton Kids Festival is returning to Strathpine this year and promises to be just as exciting as ever.

Chairman of Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism, Shane Newcombe, said the event was run in conjunction with Moreton Bay Regional Council to create a low-cost event for families with young children.

“We are very excited for the third year of Moreton Kids Festival and are looking forward to having families come together for a full day of family fun that won’t break the bank,” Mr Newcombe said.

The festival features five interactive worlds for kids to explore, including Green Kids, Active Kids, Fun Kids, Creative Kids and a new world for this year – Innovative Kids. Here, children can engage in virtual reality, robotics activities and augmented reality. There’s a range of activities on hand in each world, as well as roving performers, markets, food trucks, and live stage shows.

“This year we have not one, but two hit stage shows on the Strathpine Centre Main Stage – Elmo and Cookie Monster, and Spider-Man Appreciation Day,” Mr Newcombe said.

One of the highlights of the event will be the free amusement rides for kids running all day long in the Brisbane Kids Fun Zone. Another will be the NERF Battle Zone where kids can work their way through obstacles, test their aim at target practice and is “guaranteed fun for everyone.”

If you’re attending the event for the first time this year, you may like to rest up beforehand. “There is so much to see and do at Moreton Kids Festival, we recommend getting a good night's sleep the night before so everyone in the family can be ready to have a full day of fun,” Mr Newcombe said.
