School HOLIDAY FUN in Redcliffe
With the long school holiday break fast approaching, it's time to start thinking about ways to keep the kids entertained, until it's time for school to start again.

The Redcliffe library team said the library is a great place to escape the summer heat these holidays. The library offers many great services and also runs an exciting school holiday program, where most of the activities are low cost or free.

Some of the library's activities include a summer reading club, an engineering challenge and a Star Wars' Escape Room. There'll also a visit from the Geckoes Wildlife Team, who will bring along their birds of prey, and a Street Science Show complete with mind-blowing demonstrations.

The Street Science Show has appeared in previous school holiday programs and has been a hugely popular event, the team said.

If you're looking for something more on the artistic side, Tam's Image Reflections will be holding kids art classes every Monday, throughout the holidays, at Soul Harvest Wholefoods. Each class costs $20, with a different activity each time. Your kids can get creative and can bring their prized piece home with them afterwards.

Artist and workshop creator, Tamera Sherlock, said it can be difficult for parents to find things for their children to do during the holidays that doesn't involve a lot of travel or spending a lot of money.

I have created these classes with both the kids and the parents in mind by holding them at Soul Harvest Wholefoods. While the kids get creative, the parents can relax for an hour, have a coffee, read a book, she said.

With so many great activities on offer around Redcliffe, you won't want the school holidays to end.
