Prizes Galore At Christmas Festival Of Trees & Craft

Story: Sally Eberhardt
Oct 25, 2019
As if the wonderfully imaginative Christmas trees weren’t enough of a drawcard, there's also an Apple iPad, a Christmas hamper raffle and cash prizes for winners at Quota International of Redcliffe’s 2019 Christmas Festival of Trees and Craft.

Avril Kent, festival committee chair, said the event was a great opportunity to relax with good food, enjoy beautifully decorated Christmas trees and check out the Christmas craft stalls.

“The trees are decorated by local school children, businesses and community organisations – you have to see the inventiveness to believe it,” she said.

“The trees depict who they are or what they do – and many are not traditional Christmas trees.

“This year profits go to Redcliffe Hospital’s Oncology Department to buy wigs and turbans for cancer patients.”

There are four Christmas tree categories, including Business/Services, Community Groups, Preschool to Years 1 and 2, and Schools and Children's Community Groups, each of which offers a cash prize. Registration for the event is free. Email for an entry form.

Admission into the Christmas Festival of Trees and Craft is $5 for adults. Entry for children is free.
