Redcliffe Festival Of Sails
Good Friday is fast approaching which can mean only one thing ' it's time for the annual Redcliffe Festival of Sails!  Suttons Beach will come alive on Friday, 19 April with an array of dazzling entertainment for the young and young at heart. This year's three separate event stages will be jam-packed with live music, entertainment and acts all day.

Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism CEO, Shane Newcombe, said he was looking forward to the action on land, in the water and in the air.

True to local tradition, the Easter Bunny will again wow crowds with an amazing skydive entrance straight onto the beach,ť Mr Newcombe said.

Best of all, this event is timed to coincide with the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race so there'll be as much action on the horizon as there is on the beach.ť

A kids zone will offer free craft workshops, an animal farm and a mini Channel 9 news desk for children to try their hand at reporting the big stories of the day.

Division 6 Councilor, Koliana Winchester, recommended getting down to the beach early.

Guests of all ages can enjoy the rides, beach games, sand sculpting workshops and an Easter egg hunt,ť Cr Winchester said.

There'll be plenty of food vans to keep even the fussiest eaters happy, so don't worry if you forget to pack a picnic.ť

Those with a sweet tooth will be thrilled to know that the festival will again play host to the Pop-up Ice Cream Fair after its successful launch in 2018.

Love Handmade will also be hosting more than 150 market stalls along the waterfront, which will offer everything from handmade gifts to clothing, accessories, toys and treasures.

Free parking will be available at Redcliffe Showgrounds with a courtesy shuttle bus available and operating frequently between 8.30am and 5pm.

For those coming by train, a courtesy shuttle bus will coincide with hourly train arrivals at Kippa-Ring Station.
