RCC Gets Redcliffe Entertainment Centre Rebrand
What’s in a name? When it comes to the Redcliffe Cultural Centre, its new name paves the way for bigger and better entertainment.

Division 6 councillor, Koliana Winchester, says that as the rebranded Redcliffe Entertainment Centre, the new name reflects the recent improvements made to the centre and the broader range of attractions being hosted there.

“The refurbished centre is perfect for a wide range of events, from an Australian Army Band Gala spectacular to bringing the raw energy, fun and emotion of one of Australia’s best-loved stories — The Sapphires (in March),” Cr Winchester said.

“There’s no shortage of entertainment to captivate audiences of all ages.”

The improvements to the centre include new carpets throughout the venue and a refurbished box office, as well as a revitalised foyer featuring the installation of digital TVs.

Cr Winchester says the centre had gone from strength to strength, selling more than 40,000 tickets in 2017/18, with “ticket sales and revenues nearly doubling in the past two years alone”.

Division 5 councillor, James Houghton, says he expects the Centre will more than double those figures again, in the next financial year.

“It’s an ambitious target, but we are an ambitious and growing region,” Cr Houghton said.
