Salvos Spread Christmas Cheer
The Christmas spirit will be truly alive at the Redcliffe Salvos' Christmas carols and charity auction, raising funds for drought-affected farmers.

The event, at Rothwell on Saturday 15 December, will feature a night of Christmas carols and an auction of quality items, memorabilia, gift packs, and toys. Redcliffe Salvation Army major Keith Hampton says all proceeds from the event will support the Salvos' work with farmers in drought-affected Western Queensland.

"It promises to be a fun family event with Christmas carols accompanied by the Salvo band and choir, says Major Hampton.

"The Redcliffe Community has been extremely generous in donating items for the auction. Some items have already attracted bidders, but there are sure to be some bargains to be had on the night."

Items for the auction include a framed cricket bat, signed by thirty Australian cricketing legends (one of only seventy-seven produced); a football boot signed by Darren Lockyer; a 2018 Wallabies jersey, signed by the team and a prestigious collection of Holden memorabilia.
