NEW - Food & Wine Festival
You heard it here first folks, the inaugural Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival will launch this Spring, and Redcliffe is set to host the two-day gastronomic affair.

And what a place to host the event with its stunning beachside scenery, picturesque Redcliffe is a shining jewel in the Moreton Bay crown and home to a huge variety of exceptional food and dining experiences.

The Moreton Bay region has made quite a name for itself in the culinary world, boasting exceptional produce, dining establishments and gastronomic talents to rival anywhere in Australia.

Bayside locals and visitors from near and far will have the opportunity to explore the area's finest food, wine and entertainment, all set amongst the seascape of Redcliffe.

Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism CEO Shane Newcombe says the Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival is a fitting expansion to an already impressive line-up of events in the Moreton Bay Region.

Our region has a fantastic offering of local produce, talented chefs, amazing restaurants and

cafés and this festival will aim to showcase these, all against the stunning backdrop of Moreton Bay, he says.

Held over the September 8-9 weekend, the event will take over the Redcliffe waterfront and will feature unique dining experiences, cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, hands-on workshops, food trucks, dining precincts, pop-up bars, market stalls and more.

The festival is free to enter, and patrons can enjoy an extensive program of entertainment on offer including a line-up of live music and performers all weekend, plus roving entertainers and the GKS Lawyers fireworks display on Saturday night, Mr Newcombe says.

Many of the restaurants along the Redcliffe foreshore will offer specialty menus for the event, and some will host special ticketed events or workshops over the weekend.

Mr Newcombe adds, We anticipate the festival will bring locals from the Moreton Bay Region as well as visitors from Brisbane and surrounding areas to the Redcliffe Peninsula.
