A Tribute To The Eagles
Redcliffe Cultural Centre will host The Australian Eagle's Show, as they perform authentic reproductions of The Eagle's greatest hits.

The Eagle's Show is a group of six experienced Brisbane musicians who have come together to create a genuine tribute act to the music and vocal harmonies of The Eagles. Band guitarist and vocalist, Shayne Browne says the group prides themselves on aiming to sound as close to the Eagles as they can.

The music can sound quite simple, but there are actually layers and layers of complex music and vocals, he says.

The six-piece group started out as quasi-tribute band, 'Little Steely Brothers', playing the music of Little River Band, Steely Dan, and Dooby Brothers, as well as The Eagles. Their 'Eagles' performances were so well received they decided to create a band dedicated entirely to The Eagles.

Shayne, along with the other band members, has been an Eagles fan since childhood.

All of us love The Eagles, we grew up in that era. The Eagles were the 70s and 80s, he says.

The Eagles rarely tour today, and when they do tickets can cost over $600. It costs a lot less to see us, and we are pretty close to the real thing, says Shayne. But it is not just diehard fanatics that will enjoy the performance.

We've had people as young as 8 come to our concerts and absolutely love it.

Among some the best-loved Eagles songs to be played at the show will be 'Hotel California'.Shayne says everyone has a lot of fun singing along. December 2016 marked the 40th anniversary of this song, which makes it extra special.

The show will be held on 19th January at 7.30pm. Tickets are $38 and can be booked through the Redcliffe Cultural Centre Box Office on ph. 3283 0407, or through the Moreton Bay Regional Council website.
