The Tap Pack Turns It On For Redcliffe!

Story: By Philip Woods
Nov 03, 2017
The Redcliffe Cultural Centre is set to experience a high energy, world class tap dancing show when The Tap Pack come to town in November to perform as part of their latest national and international tour.

The Tap Pack feature some of Australia’s most amazing dance talents including Jesse Rasmussen, Jordan Pollard, Thomas J Egan and Sean Mulligan.

“ The show has had a lot of opportunities to grow and shape itself for international audiences this year,” says Thomas J Egan, one of the co-creators and performers.

“It’s fantastic that we use all of our experience overseas and bring it back home. We improvise a lot on stage so every night tends to be a little different, I’m sure Redcliffe will be a lot of fun with four talented guys back on the road together.”

The Tap Pack have sold out shows around the world and received accolades for their performances, inspired by the famous ‘Rat Pack’ - Sammy Davis Jnr, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. The rave reviews are no surprise when you consider the pedigree of the show’s performers.

Between them, these talented guys boast over twenty musical theatre productions including Grease, Singin’ In The Rain, Guys and Dolls, Westside Story and Saturday Night Fever, as well as performances with Tap Dogs, Kylie Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.

Despite spending a lot of time performing overseas, the boys still love touring at home.

“Australia has some of the most beautiful places on earth and we’re so lucky to get the opportunity to bring the show to places like Redcliffe”, Thomas says. “The show was built in Australia and we will always look forward to performing here.”

You can expect the Tap Pack to bring invigorating energy to their Redcliffe show, which will feature some of your favourite Rat Pack classics, as well as hits from Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Michael Buble, all delivered with quick wit, snappy suits and formidable footwork. Don’t miss out!
