Family Fun Day One In A Pavilion

Redcliffe's iconic Suttons Beach Pavilion will celebrate six months of ownership with a huge, fun-filled family day.
Owner Sandra Duncan says the event will allow them to toast their achievements with the community over the past six months with their biggest family event yet.
When we took over back in February, one of our goals was to be a key part of the community and be seen as a real family-friendly beach-side venue,� she says.
We have already kicked this initiative�off with two free family outdoor movie nights, which have been greatly received, so the next logical�step was to make an even bigger event and get the community to come along and join in the activities.�
Sandra says the event will be a family day filled with activities, entertainment, food, drink and community spirit.
It will be a casual event with lots of activities offered, both free and for a gold coin donation, for people to get involved with throughout the afternoon.�
It will be an open day for the community to see what Suttons Beach Pavilion has on offer, hear about our future plans and to get feedback on what the locals and regulars want from us,� Sandra says.
Some highlights of the day include a big screen outdoor movie theatre, great food and drink specials, live music and a variety of children's activities, including bouncing castles.
A published schedule of events will be available closer to the event, so people will know what time the live acts and movie will kick off.�
Sandra says the event is shaping up to be a great occasion for the community.
Given the unique position we command on the beach at Redcliffe and the history of the building (she turns�80 this year), we feel the venue is part of the community, and we want our business�to feel the same,� she says.
The building holds lots of memories for the locals, both young and old alike, so we have always felt welcome since we took over, and people are excited that we are reinvigorating�life back into the old place.�
