Get Your Giggle On For World Laughter Day
World Laughter Day is celebrated on 5 May to raise awareness about the many healing benefits of laughter – and have some fun!

Health benefits include lowering stress, improving cardiac health, releasing endorphins, and lowering blood pressure. Share the giggles on World Laughter Day by posting jokes on social media, watching your favourite comedians on Netflix or joining a Laughter Club.

The Happydemic’s HeatherJoy Campbell, a global ambassador for Laughter Yoga International, invites you to join a local Laughter Yoga session to boost your well-being.

HeatherJoy said Laughter Yoga was for all ages and abilities and everyone was welcome.  “Laughter yoga is a light cardio process that doesn’t rely on jokes or holding advanced yoga poses but has everything to do with feeling good,” HeatherJoy said. “It involves playful movement, gentle stretches, breathwork and belly laughter, and has proven physical, emotional and social health benefits.”

Any donations made for participation will go to support The Breakfast Club Redcliffe.

Bottled water and a hat are recommended. A folding chair or yoga mat is optional.

Visit Heather Joy’s Laughter Yoga Happydemic on Facebook for more information or call HeatherJoy on 0412 742 593.

Share the fun and discover for yourself why laughter really is the best medicine!
