WALK THIS WAY: NEW PEDESTRIAN FOOTPATH PROJECTS UNDERWAY

New pedestrian footpath projects are underway in the Kippa-Ring and Deception Bay areas. Under the Missing Link Pathways initiative, a total of 1,674 metres of pathways are set to enhance connectivity around Hercules State School, Southern Cross College, Kippa-Ring State School, and Deception Bay State High School by the end of the financial year. City of Moreton Bay Mayor, Peter Flannery has said the upgrades will address safety and connectivity for students and pedestrians. As the region experiences rapid growth, the Missing Link Pathway program aims to bridge gaps in footpath connectivity near schools and high-traffic areas.
