Together We Care Equals ‘Excellence In Care’
Getting older can be daunting, and yet, it’s important to consider managing our elderly loved one’s future, as well as our own.

Together We Care (TWC) is a Queensland-based aged care provider offering options to better navigate our future with a difference.

At TWC, the difference is ‘Excellence in Care.’

“We believe in taking care of our employees so they can better care for our clients,” TWC CEO, Jay Richter said. Jay has extensive experience working at Virgin where Richard Branson’s motto was just that.

“First up, our support team gets paid above the award rate,” Jay said. “We want people to feel secure in their jobs.”

An Employee Assist Programme facilitates ongoing training and access to counselling. They’ve created a pathway for those who work and study while completing their certificates, plus more.

For clients, TWC considers three important factors:

  • They match their clients and support workers to enable a rich rapport and confidence.

  • They offer in-home and NDIS packages to ensure people are safe staying in their own homes for the long term.

  • They foster community involvement to prevent isolation, so your loved ones are nurtured and loved.

“It’s all about empowering people to live their best life,” Jay said.

In 2012, Jay hurt his eardrum, which meant he had to reconsider his flying career.

“My friend’s mum, a Home Care Manager in Adelaide, offered me work and I never looked back,” he said.

Jay achieved his Certificate III in Support Work and a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management. This, coupled with transferrable managerial/leadership skills from Virgin set him up to start his own business.

“I remember starting from the ground up and each opportunity gave me more insight,” Jay said. “Until I knew, if I could do it for others, then I could do this for myself.”

TWC has years of success and intends to expand its services Australia-wide.

One client, Jackie McDermot said: “TWC have changed my life. They’re absolutely wonderful people. They know you personally once you start with them.”
