For a very charming Christmas shopping experience, the Arts and Crafters Markets give the gift of over 50 local artisans — selling everything handmade and affordable.
Presented by the Moreton Bay Arts Council (MBAC) and supported by Redcliffe Art Society and Redcliffe Potters, the markets are held on the grounds of the heritage-listed Old Redcliffe Fire Station art complex.
According to MBAC President Janice Charlish, the upcoming Christmas markets were one of three versions of the markets, which were initially introduced in 2015 “to give local artists, crafters and designers of handmade products a place to showcase their collective talents in a beautiful location”.
“The market gives the buyer direct contact with the maker,” Ms Charlish said.” It’s also rewarding for the artisans to share how they make their product.”
Shoppers can expect a range of homewares, lots of home-grown plants, photography and artwork, kid’s clothes, silver jewellery and other accessories, plus much more.
With free entry and free parking, as well as plenty of undercover seating, the event is exceptionally patron-friendly with music also playing all day long.
