Mayor Peter Flannery announced the approval of a Development Application for the demolition of the existing pavilion, marking the beginning of a series of steps to enhance the Redcliffe Peninsula precinct. This initiative includes finding a contractor for demolition, site preparation, and potential future development. Council is also considering a design competition that incorporates Art Deco and contemporary elements based on community preferences. Despite structural defects, the project aims to preserve the area’s iconic status while listening to the community’s feedback.
