Make A Splash These School Holidays

Get ready to take the plunge these school holidays when popular water park Aquasplash reopens with some exciting changes.
The Pelican Park site opens its gates on 18 September and promises to be even better than before, with plenty of new obstacles to tackle.
Business development manager Matt Devine said Aquasplash had massive plans for the site in the upcoming season.
The park has never been this big before, and it is at least 100 per cent bigger than last year, Matt said.
We have a range of new obstacles including, but not limited to, our very own Wipe Out balls challenge not seen at any water park in the country. The Beast is by far the largest on-water inflatable in Australia. It is a four-lane slide and it is awesome. Then there's The Lobster. Wait until you see that in the water.
Aquasplash has undercover seating for up to 250 people, and a new grandstand viewing area in front of the park.
Matt said all of the improvements had been made in response to community feedback.
Aquasplash has been a great success over the past three years, and we will make it an even bigger success during the next three, he said. We want the site to be all it can be.
The improvements mean the park will be able to cater for parties, school events and end-of-year functions.
We want to be a birthday party destination for Brisbane, Matt said. So with any party booking over ten people, we have included exclusive use of your own undercover seating area and a four-burner BBQ for sausages and burgers.
Suitable for ages five and older, the park can be enjoyed by the whole family. Matt said there were many reasons families loved Aquasplash.
Spending time together in the outdoors, exercising, and challenging themselves and each other to step out of their comfort zone, he said.
Matt said Moreton Bay Regional Council had been a close partner in the development of the Pelican Park site.
Without their support, this would not be possible, he said.
