Iconic Rock Queen Hits North Lakes

North Lakes is set to be blown away when rock royalty Sarah McLeod performs at Thirsty Chiefs Brewing Co this month.
The SuperJesus front woman has had three albums with her platinum-selling and Aria-award winning band and has two solo albums showcasing her diverse musical talents.
With over 20 years in the industry, Sarah shows no sign of slowing down, always improving on her skill and creating more music for fans to enjoy.
I have a thirst for knowledge at the moment,ť Sarah said. I just want to get better, and I feel like there's so much more I can do.ť
Sarah said this gig at North Lakes was going to be a lucky dip of The SuperJesus music, her solo songs and covers for the audience, depending on what she feels like playing on the night.
I feel like my solo shows are getting more eclectic,ť Sarah said. They are getting wackier and wackier as I am becoming more comfortable solo on stage.
I'm there to make sure that you have a good time in a live environment ' sit down, go drink, and let's party. I want to get people involved and have fun; I cruise around and get them to sing and dance with me. I want everyone to be glad they bought a ticket to the show.ť
Sarah said the small gigs were her favourite as she loved to connect personally with the audience.
I can really sink my teeth into the small gigs and can connect with people and sort of muck around, she said. It should be pretty loose ' which is my favourite place to be. The more intimate it is, the stranger the show is.ť
Sarah has a lot of upcoming shows ' with Rockin 4 the Homeless with the SuperJesus, and the band are in rehearsals currently for an East Coast tour to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of Jet Age.
This is a lot of work, but it's fun,ť she said. Most of the songs on that record we never play live, so we have to learn the whole record again. I'm really looking forward to it.
