A Taste of Thailand in Redcliffe
Is it time to brush up on your cooking skills? Local event planner Wild Cherry Events is branching out to include themed cooking classes as part of its offering.

Wild Cherry Events founder and co-owner Carolyn Rothwell said the classes had been on the radar for about 12 months due to a number of requests within the community and on their social media pages.

We have been searching for a qualified chef we felt would be able to join with us and create an experience within the philosophy we stand by, Carolyn said. We also wanted to carry on with the theming we love so much and so the chef we chose needed to be able to adapt to this.ť

Each themed cooking class will include a two-hour lesson taught by a professional chef, all equipment at your own cooking station, ingredients, and a copy of the recipe to take home with you. Tea, coffee, and cold drinks will also be provided throughout the evening.

April's class is called A Taste of Thailand.

At the end of each class participants will be able to join together to eat their creations in our themed dining area, Carolyn said. Thailand will come to life with a uniquely-styled area just for the participants of the night.ť

Carolyn said she hoped that by providing these cooking classes in the local community people who may not be able to attend classes in locations further afield would have the opportunity to attend.

We hope these classes will not only teach people how to cook a new recipe but will also encourage them to try the skills they learn at home, boost their self-confidence within the kitchen, provide a safe environment to try something new, encourage friendship and laughter, and provide a relaxed atmosphere in which to learn,ť she said.

Wild Cherry Events offers a safe space to try new things. There is no experience needed and no judgements are made on anyone who attends. Classes are step by step and easy to follow, loads of fun and delicious!ť
