Peninsula Motorfest: Gratitude on Wheels
Come along to a car show by the sea '  the Peninsula Motorfest is a fun family day out featuring live music, food stalls, market stalls, kids entertainment, and a vast and varied array of shiny vehicles to admire.

Motorfest organiser and local business owner Aarash Almassi, of Almassi Light and Heavy Mechanical, said this event was his way of thanking the people of the area for making it a wonderful part of the world in which to live.

Being of Middle Eastern heritage and Australian-born, I appreciate how this country has been so good to me and my family,ť Aarash said. We want to give back with this community event."

Making the event affordable is very important to Aarash, so nothing on the menu at the food stalls is over $10 and none of the children's rides are more than $8. And of course, it's free to admire the beautiful vehicles.

This free show has something for everyone and I invite people from all walks of life to attend and enjoy all we offer,ť he said. We provide a free barbeque meal and have plenty of prizes and giveaways, making it a very welcoming and exciting environment. My family work on the barbeque and they love what they do.

We will feature some of the best cars from South-East Queensland, including many from our own Peninsula. There will be classic cars, hot rods, old school muscle cars, modern V8s, motorbikes and more.

We have come a long way from our first show when 13 cars turned up at our Clontarf business premises. The number of cars has increased at every event, so we have moved to a much bigger space and again have a worthy charity onboard.ť

The Motorfest supports Redcliffe Opportunities for People's Enhancement (R.O.P.E. Inc), which provide choices and opportunities for people living with an intellectual disability, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Pack a hat, put on sunscreen, and bring your friends and family out for a delightful day, courtesy of the gratitude of Aarash Almassi and his team.
