Raise Awareness and Funds While Having Fun
If you're looking for a place to meet new faces, raise funds for an organisation, and have a fun time, the Girls' Night Out event may be for you.

The all women's event is a great opportunity for local women to get together and raise money for charity this month.

Organiser Bec Peatey said the event was designed to create a safe and fun space for women who were looking for more freedom in their lifestyle.

We have fun while we raise money and awareness for different charities specific to mental health, Bec said.

All proceeds go to the charity, and generous donations come from local and online businesses.

As a cocktail-style event, women can expect a drink upon arrival to the Waters Edge, dinner, live entertainment, stalls, raffles, photo opportunities, and games that take place all night.

The event focuses on mental health, as it's something very important to Bec, and first started from a feeling of wanting a night out for herself.

Contribution and connection fill my heart and make me feel really good, and I wanted other women to be a part of that feeling too, Bec said.

The charity of choice for the next event is Suicide Prevention Pathways (SPP), and donations will help support the staff, awareness resources, client support resources, and service delivery.

Also attending the event will be SPP CEO Shana Challenor. Women will get the chance to meet and talk with Shana about the organisation on the night.

With the impact of restrictions and lockdown back in early 2020, Bec said the feeling of continuing the event was as strong as ever, as she needed to continue for not only herself but the community, too.

Currently, 100 women are able to attend the event and there are no restrictions on who can attend.

Bookings are essential and tickets cost $65 per person. You can find out more by searching 'Girls Night Out Events' via www.trybooking.com
