Welcoming 2021 To Redcliffe

Say goodbye to 2020 in style, with Redcliffe Farmers and Artisan Markets New Year's Eve Twilight Market. This family-friendly celebration overlooking the bay is set to be one big party, boasting live entertainment, a sideshow alley, and of course, two spectacular fireworks displays.

Redcliffe Farmers and Artisan Markets market co-ordinator Mark Power said that although this year had been hard for many, the markets were bigger and better than ever. He said it had been really rewarding being able to extend the market due to the post-COVID community support of local businesses.

He said the event was guaranteed to entertain and feed all, as organisers had ensured there was something enjoyable for every member of the family.

We will have all of the usual things you would expect at one of our events,� Mark said. Amazing gourmet street eats, lots of great food vendors, and plenty of in-market entertainment including fire entertainers, DJs, musicians and stilt walkers. It will be a really vibrant, upbeat party vibe.�

The event will be a foodies delight with way too many decadent treats to list. But with wood-fired pizzas, artisan doughnuts and melt-in-your mouth calamari, you are sure to keep your belly satisfied.

The fireworks displays are at 7.30pm for the littlies and the adults can enjoy the 9.30pm event while the kiddies sleep ' if they can close their eyes after the excitement of the night.

Mark said the markets would give people an opportunity to purchase homemade artisan goods and entertainment on the three main stages would have guests dancing in the street as the live music takes flight, with solo acts and DJs to carry you into 2021.

It might have been a fizzer of a year, but this is our chance to bid it farewell with a bang and to set the right tone for 2021, which should be about all of us coming together and celebrating,� Mark said.
