The Addams Family YOUNG @ Part
From Addams Family to yours, Mousetrap Theatre returns with an exciting production of the popular yet slightly creepy musical, The Addams Family Young @ Part a heart-warming tale that delves into themes of family, relationships, growing up, fitting into society and embracing the virtues of being different.

The Addams Family story began unfolding hundreds of years ago, when the ancestors came from the old country and settled into what is now New York's Central Park. Over many generations, the family flourished and eventually, a huge house was built where a great Spanish oak, the Addams Family Tree, had been planted to protect the ancestral graves from such annoyances as sunlight and tourists.

Since the early 1960s the same decade the Addams Family graced television screens Redcliffe's Mousetrap Theatre Company has also been entertaining the Peninsula with a wide array of musicals. After five decades of offbeat buffoonery, the Addams Family has a new musical production and Mousetrap will expand the adventure with a talented, dedicated team. Directed by Shirley Budinger, this amazing cast of 22 young people come from all areas of the Moreton Bay region. Aptly themed music is in the capable hands of Alicia Poulter, and rounding out the production team is talented Lauren Beilby as choreographer.

Join Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Wednesday, and Pugsley, along with their kooky relatives and ancestors, who all come to life in this fun-filled musical extravaganza written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elis.

With a 31 October opening, Mousetrap Theatre invites the audience to celebrate the wackiness in every family by dressing as a favourite Addams character or in Halloween attire as they venture out into the Addams' Family home.
