Creative Hub Zokki Opens in the heart of the peninsula.
If you are an aspiring young artist, or looking for a unique place to hold your next event, then Zokki.B Gallery & Studio could be for you.
Redcliffe's newest hidden artistic hub officially opened on 14 March. Located in the heart of the Peninsula, it is quite a spectacular space.
Artist Zokki Bugarski and her husband own and operate the Oasis Café in Redcliffe. From the outside, it is just a small coffee shop, but when you look deeper inside, this small café has some pretty big ideas. With a strong artistic passion, Zokki wanted to share her ideas and bring a more creative culture to the local area.
I think we can do a lot for the community,ť Zokki said. It may only be a small part, but there is so much tourist.ť
In addition to their already successful café, Zokki said this purpose-built gallery, which is located above the café, will provide the opportunity for local artists to display their work and showcase their talents.
"We have the right space to do it ' there is so much talent out there,ť she said.
Zokki said she has more ideas, including collaborating with as many local talented artists as possible.
The gallery open night was well attended, confirming that this was something Peninsula residents and visitors want, with guests excited about what could next be seen in the gallery.
Zokki's exhibition Inklings of Joy will be on display to the public with free entry from when the café is open until 2pm daily.
The studio will also be available to hire out as a creative space. Offering anything from workshops, live music to small business events, with the café able to fully cater upon request.
