Meet Kelly Rimmer, Best-Selling Author
Readers of historical and contemporary fiction are in for a treat at Moreton Bay Libraries Meet the Author program this month. Best-selling women's fiction author, Kelly Rimmer, will visit Redcliffe library to discuss her new novel, Truths I Never Told You.

Kate Shaw, senior media and communications officer for Moreton Bay Regional Council, said the author events draw audiences from across the region and beyond to gives audiences the opportunity to meet authors of all genres, listen to their stories, and discover stories hidden between the lines.

This will be a wonderful opportunity for audiences to meet one of Australia's most successful authors, learn more about the person behind the book, and what has motivated her hugely successful storylines, Kate said.

At this event, Kelly will discuss her newest release and sixth published novel, Truths I Never Told You. This story is a heart-tugging story of family secrets, motherhood and marriage. Kelly's other releases include the wildly successful Before I Let You Go, Me Without You and The Secret Daughter. Her novels have been translated into more than 20 languages.

Every one of my novels deals with a unique scenario ' sometimes contemporary, sometimes historical," Kelly said. "This is my third historical fiction novel.

Although based in rural NSW, Kelly is no stranger to the Redcliffe Peninsula and is looking forward to heading north to talk about her latest novel and her writing process with Queensland readers.

My sister lives at Petrie, and when I visit her, Redcliffe is one of our favourite spots to go together" she said. "We love the Rustic Olive and taking our kids to the lagoon. It's such a beautiful part of the world and I can't wait to return.

I'll talk about this new book, as well as the inspiration behind it and my research and writing process. I'll also take questions from the audience.

These popular library events are free, but don't forget to book as there are limited places and events book out quickly. Visit www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au for more information.
