J2J Fun Run 2017
This July, participants from far and wide will again experience one of Queensland's most popular fun runs.
Entering its 31st year, the Jetty 2 Jetty does not discriminate; this is an event for all running levels and ages. Whether you are a competitive runner or a casual walker, the Fun Run is an excellent opportunity to take in the stunning views of Redcliffe as the J2J course winds around the peninsula.
Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism CEO, Shane Newcombe, is encouraging everyone to sign up and have a go. The J2J is such an iconic event in the Moreton Bay Region. Each year thousands of participants from all over Australia, and even internationally, head to Redcliffe to join in the fun, he says. It's also great to see the whole community turn out to cheer on all the amazing entrants.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Allan Sutherland, echoes these sentiments, reinforcing that the J2J is one of the most well-received fun runs in the state.
Whether you want to challenge yourself or walk with a group of friends, there's an event for everyone, Mayor Sutherland explains.
This year, the J2J offers the Quest Community News 3km, Dolphins Health Precinct 5km, Bupa 10km, and Gleeson Klein Stegeman Lawyers Half Marathon (21km). Registration is still open, so it's certainly not too late to sign up.
Mayor Sutherland also reminds the community that there is a bigger purpose to the J2J event.

By taking part in the J2J, not only do you get to take in the best views along Moreton Bay, you also help to make a difference, with a portion of all the monies raised going to the Leukaemia Foundation. If it's your first time or your 31st time, J2J is an event not to be missed.
