As far as 19th holes go, Redcliffe Golf Club is on to a winner with Putters Kitchen Restaurant, one of the club's and Redcliffe's best kept secrets since 1960.
With sweeping views across the green and a recent refurbishment, it is the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner, or perhaps a cheeky tipple or two.
Caterers Katie and Dale McMullen have been in charge of the restaurant for almost a year following an extensive career in hospitality spanning more than 20 years.
Katie says the restaurant offers an exceptionaldining experience for all ages.
We have a very unique layout and fantastic view of the golf course, so it makes for a very atmospheric meal, she says.
We are also very reasonably priced so patrons can enjoy a great meal without breaking the budget.
Katie says they are excited about expanding the offerings on site for guests and having the club recognised for more than golf.
We are working together with the golf club to build new events, and get peopleexcited and talking about the golf club and all the wonderful facilities that we have to offer, she says.
On offer is catering for occasions small and large including birthdays,weddings and corporate events.
We are also in the process of organising events such as High Tea on a Budget, seniors day and bingo.
We have recently launched a dance night with introductory dance classes, dinner and a great variety of music.
Katie says they are passionate about the local community and are looking forward to sharing their hidden gem with the general public as well as current club members.
We love the people of Redcliffe ' everyone is extremely friendlyand always have time for a chat, she says.
The community feel is so welcoming and we appreciate the wonderful support the people give to local businesses.
We have had great feedback so far, particularly for our popular Tuesday Ladies Day as well as our daily light lunches menu, which includes specials such as Thai chicken salad and pork belly burger with crackling and caramelised onion coleslaw.
