Creativity Grows on the Peninsula
The exhibition is titled Creativity Grows and visitors can expect to see a variety of exciting and fresh artwork across a wide selection of mediums, says Art So Lively director and art teacher, Gabrielle Keim.

I am really, really proud of my students and what they have achieved,'' Gabrielle says.

I believe the other half of making art is sharing it with others and having an exhibition is a great way to do this.''

Gabrielle has always had a passion for the arts and finally fulfilled a life-long dream by opening Art So Lively art school three years ago in Redcliffe.

Art has been a huge part of my life since childhood,'' she says.

I wish there had been a place like

Art So Lively close by when I was a kid.

Her art classes are now held in Comino's Arcade, and the school has grown to offer 10 classes a week with almost 70 students ranging in age from six to over 80 years old.

I have total beginners through to the more experienced, and people from many different walks of life,'' she says.

They are all connected through a love of art and being creative and thinking outside of the box.

Some students are now entering and winning art awards, selling their work and also getting commissions.''

Gabrielle credits her students' success to the warm and inclusive atmosphere of the classes, with students studying and exploring a variety of techniques and subject matters.

Classes run Tuesday to Saturday. For more information contact Gabrielle on 0477 002 545, visit artsolively.com or follow Art So Lively on Facebook.

Creativity Grows exhibition runs until April 30 at Level 1, Stage Door Gallery, Redcliffe Cultural Centre, Downs Street, Redcliffe.

Open Monday to Friday 9am-4pm.
