Water Festival A Reel Big Deal
Fishing, food, boating and Guy Sebastian performing live ' Redcliffe's Lifestyle on Water Festival is going to be the reel deal for those seeking a couple of days of incredible fun.

The multi-faceted community festival showcases the marine lifestyle of fishing and boating in the scenic Moreton Bay Region while providing an opportunity for local business and the community to join in the celebrations.

Event organiser and avid festival participant Carl Richards says he wanted to bring together all the elements of the boating lifestyle into one celebratory event.

When we think of a day on the water we want music, maybe a cold beer or wine, some great food and of course to drop a line and catch some fish, he says.

We brought all these together to showcase to visitors this truly Australian way of life and combine it with like-minded exhibitors to help people create their own Lifestyle On Water.

Carl says the combination of the spectacular Pelican Park location, the lineup of entertainment and activities will ensure the festival is a must-see event.

The event is unparalleled in its culmination of activities both on water and on land, he says.

There's a massive fishing competition running from Caloundra to the Brisbane river, live music, food and wine, jet ski racing, a boat show including product testing and special deals, exhibitors showcasing their products and the Great Northern Brewing Company bar will be open for refreshments.

What is truly special is this all takes place in an area which is unmatched around the country.

Carl says that among the many highlights, one of the biggest drawcards of the event is Guy Sebastian's Saturday night performance.

Guy is a keen fisherman and thought the concept was truly fantastic  he is looking forward to entertaining the crowd and digging into some local Moreton Bay bugs, he says.

The event is open for sponsorship opportunities and is taking bookings from businesses and community groups that wish to exhibit.
