Belvedere Birthday Bash
Marketing, entertainment and events manager Lisa Casablanca says with the Belvedere's birthday approaching and many new renovations yet to be revealed, it is the perfect time to host a commemorative event.

The Belvedere has been established for so long, and with the relaunch of our brand new Restaurant and many other exciting great changes about to happen, it is the perfect opportunity to celebrate, Lisa says.

Guests can expect a fun day with lots of entertainment for every age group.

Held on Sunday 6th November, the celebration will provide fun for the whole family.

The day will include all-day live entertainment, children's activities, a photo booth, giveaways and a celebration cake, Lisa says.

The day will go out with a bang, following a spectacular fireworks display on the waterfront.

One of the peninsula's most iconic buildings, The Belvedere was first built in the 19th century as a boarding house before being purchased in 1901.

The 54 acres of prime water real estate was purchased by Thomas and Mary Snook for 38 pounds and 10 shillings and was later transformed into a hotel, Lisa says.

In 1966 the Hotel was purchased by Castlemaine Perkins and was then sold to our current owners, the Drinx Group, in 2003.

Since then, the hotel has undergone many changes including the previously named Steak & Crabhouse.

Visitors will not recognise it when they walk in ' it has undergone a total transformation.

Lisa says they are fortunate to have such prime real estate on the Peninsula.

There is nowhere else you can go to see the sunset over the ocean on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia, whilst kicking back with a drink in your hand on one of our five front decks or terraces, she says.

With many great upcoming events and more exciting changes to the Hotel, we look forward to becoming the place to be on the Bay.
